NLFC Kenai Stone
Oh my goodness! 16 days early, 27.5#’s and a rambunctious little boy full of life, curiosity and smiles!! We thought we had this whole breeding thing under wraps and he was going to be a summer baby but turns out he is officially our last Spring baby!
We never dreamed of a beautiful Appy from Vanada, who turned 14 years old the same week of delivering Kenai!! When people ask how old do we breed a female my answer is ‘It depends on the female’. Just look at those high pasterns and her top line is incredibly sound! She has a wonderful, deep carriage to keep a baby growing and it doesn’t break down in late pregnancy. Vanada gives nothing up structurally and milks like a cow with a gaining baby from day one! We are forever thankful for the friendships which allowed us to be part of the Rick & Mary Adam’s retirement herd!! Our long term plan was to sell her after this baby is weaned, however we are going to repeat this breeding and see how it goes!!
